About the Artist...
As a professional freelance Makeup Artist, I am passionate about creating bespoke looks for every occasion that is specifically tailored to each client. I love that Makeup Artistry gives me the tools to empower people to feel more confident about themselves and I count myself lucky to be a part of such a creative, inclusive and colourful industry.
I've done a lot of work with fashion photography and portfolio work, such as working with Britain’s Next Top Model Winner, Mecia Simson.
I am consistently learning and adapting my approach and skills to meet the current trends, to deliver more to my clients.
I have been lucky enough to attend numerous industry leading masterclasses including that of Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian's makeup artist - Ariel Tejada.
I believe that Makeup Artistry is an art and it’s best delivered when the best products are used to create the desired look. That’s why many of my frequently used products include that of M.A.C, Makeup Forever, Laura Mercier, Marc Jacobs, INGLOT, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Hourglass, Too Faced, NARS, Anastasia Beverley Hills, Tom Ford and Huda Beauty, to name a few.
For me - skincare and preparation is just as important as the makeup you apply.
Therefore I include a skin consultation (catering to your individual skin type and complexion) and prep session in advance of my Makeup Artistry services, using products (but not limited to) such as Decleor and Elemis.
I am a mobile Makeup Artist covering areas in Surrey and London. Whilst I do have a base location in Epsom, Surrey - I am also available as a mobile Makeup Artist upon request.
In addition to my services, I also run a YouTube Channel – Kate Winter.
Selecting your Makeup Artist for your Wedding day or special occasion is tricky business. You need to be sure that who you select is the right person for you. Not only are you paying for a service but an experience. I share client inspired tutorials on a weekly basis on my channel to demonstrate my approach and process to those that are interested in my services. I always endeavour to provide an enjoyable and relaxing service, where you can be rest assured that you're in good hands. It’s key that your Makeup Artist fully understands who you are. These videos allow me to showcase the application approach, relaxed relationship with my clients and first and foremost my passion for creating beautiful makeup looks.
I always recommend that my clients book in a trial with me in advance of their wedding day or special occasion to ensure that my services are right for them. Whilst I haven't had a dissatisfied client yet, your special day only happens once, so you need to feel like you can trust your Makeup Artist fully.
